STEPS TO TAKE AT TIME OF DELIVERY
Don't sign or let the driver leave before you have unpackaged and inspected your Wilson Case.
A lot has changed in the shipping world, Protect Yourself!
It is your responsibility to verify that your order arrives in good condition. The only way to know that is to unpack your order and inspect it. Please ask the driver to wait while you remove the packaging and inspect your order. Most carriers allow 15 minutes per shipment for this. Anything more than that they will charge you for. The driver is required to allow you to inspect and they are required to wait 15 minutes.
* BE PRESENT AT DELIVERY OR COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR DELIVERY TEAM TO INSPECT BEFORE SIGNING AND RELEASING DRIVER.
* DO NOT SIGN FOR OR AUTHORIZE THE DRIVER TO LEAVE BEFORE YOU UNPACKAGE & INSPECT YOUR CASES FOR DAMAGE * IF THE DRIVER IS UNWILLING TO WAIT PLEASE WRITE "DRIVER REFUSED INSPECTION" ON THE FREIGHT BILL
- Most carriers are required to wait 15 minutes for inspection
- Request your driver to wait while you inspect
- Remove packaging & inspect the order for damage like blemishes, scratches, scrapes, dents, holes etc
- If any damage is found on your cases make notes, take pictures if possible & ask the driver to document/note the damage.
- DO NOT ACCEPT Delivery OR SIGN for the delivery until this is completed and the driver has documented the damage on his delivery info.
- If you sign the delivery slip without inspecting the order, you are agreeing that the unit arrived to you undamaged, that neither Wilson Case nor the shipping company is responsible for any damages, and that you assume responsibility for all damages that were incurred during transit.
This only takes a few minutes and will ensure that you are protected. Ownership of your order is transferred to you at the time that it leaves our facility, unless the agreed upon terms are FOB Destination.
Damage during shipment is unlikely, but it is better to be safe!
